Co-benefits from food system policy interventions
While policies targeting the food system tend to focus on one particular activity - such as eating, or a single objective - such as nutrition, an assessment of the range of policy objectives of the EU Directorates General showed there is scope for taking food system action to achieve mutual “co-benefits” or synergies between these different policy interests.
This Policy Brief explores how food systems can combine diet-related health with environmental and economic policy goals.
